A new kind of celebrity chef

Shane Delia is a chef, a TV personality, an author. He co-owns and operates two of Melbourne’s most loved restaurants, Maha and St Katherine’s. He’s got a lot going on!

But Shane always makes time for the guests in his restaurants, often visiting their table as they eat his food in his restaurants. He always replies to every tweet he receives, wherever it comes from. He’s an approachable guy, who is passionate about food and the people he can share that passion with.

These were the principles that we took into the user experience design, graphic design, copywriting, social integration and deployment to WordPress of Shane Delia’s new website. Engaging, interactive, warm, clean and approachable – these were the essential ingredients for us in delivering a great website for Shane. Understanding how the advertising and media agency audience used social media during their work day was a crucial starting point for delivering a winning strategy. We conducted a series of online focus groups, uncovering the core insights that would then drive the strategy for engagement.

Ignite Your Ideas was the result, and has launched recently, playing out over Facebook, Twitter, Slideshare, Pinterest, YouTube and more. We’ll continue to update our folio as more of this work is developed and delivered.
