What is a Foursquare Page?
In their guide on Foursquare for business, foursquare said:
Foursquare Pages are your custom homepage on foursquare, the epicenter of all brand engagement. Your fans can “follow” your Page (similar to on Twitter), allowing them to see Tips you’ve left around the world. Your Page can be customized to include your brand imagery, links to other websites, and can be located at a custom URL for your brand (“www.foursquare.com/yourbrand”).
There are two features that make this good for relationship marketing
- Reach the whole foursquare community with your tips and check-ins (and push those check-ins to both Facebook Pages and Twitter).
- From the web or your mobile phone, you can upload photos to your tips and check-ins. It’s great for making them really shine for all of your followers.
This benefits the brands that aren’t tied to a physical location. Previously, to have a presence on Foursquare, you had to have a merchant account. Now all businesses can curate tips and check-ins according to either location or niche.
